We live in a brave new world, where transformation is happening at an unimaginable speed. Although the major issues of concern to humanity remain the same in essence, the way we experience them, how we think about them, how we communicate and debate them is unquestionably changing, leading us to have to reinvent ourselves every day.
This reinvention touches us all, which is why I decided to revisit an article I wrote in 2008 for RH Magazine, when I was Director of Human Resources at Capgemini, and I had no idea that I would become Director of RH Magazine for a whole decade. That article gives us an overview of the influences that help us understand why in Southern Europe we have a predominantly external locus of control and how this makes it so much more challenging to be an entrepreneur in cultures with these characteristics.
I asked Artificial Intelligence to help me create a podcast based on this opinion piece, perhaps a more attractive means of communication for the younger generation. The result is what you can hear at the end of this post.
